Ukrainian Week in the USA is an opportunity for Ukraine and Ukrainians to remind themselves and establish connections with American politicians, congressmen, representatives of the Senate, opinion leaders, public activists, and ordinary Americans.
During Ukrainian Week 2024 in the USA, a delegation from Ukraine was present. The delegation included politicians, military chaplains, and Ukrainian military personnel wounded in the war. Ukrainian children, who were returned after being abducted by Russia, were at Ukrainian Week too. Business representatives also came to the USA to establish business relations between the countries.
The Prayer Breakfast 2024 is essential – for Ukrainian representatives, it is an opportunity to establish important contacts with the Republicans and, as a result, with their voters.
Yana Matviychuk’s Visit to Ukrainian Week
I recently went to the Ukrainian Week in the USA as an entrepreneur, a Christian, and a gun owner. This will make it possible to establish contact with the Republicans and start active cooperation without ideological differences.
My visit aims to develop and improve relations between Ukraine and the USA. In addition, I came to Washington to talk about Ukraine and the realities of doing business during the war. I also told a lot about religion in Ukraine, the strong institution of the family, and the faith of Ukrainians – this is both faith in God and faith in Victory! Such messages will allow us not only to establish useful connections. What is more, these points helped to convince some Republicans that Ukraine deserves support and help. Also, I aimed to show Americans that we are similar even though we live on different continents.
Working with Republicans is extremely important now and very responsible. We have to work together to show Republicans and conservative Americans that Ukraine is important for the security of Europe and for the security of the United States. Ukrainian week in the USA is, in fact, the last opportunity before the US elections in 2024 to reach out to the Republican Party and get support in case the Republicans come to power.
