Valentyna Pavsyukova: Conservatives under Russian propaganda
Ukrainians and Americans hoped that Trump will fulfill his promise to stop the war during 24h. But this didn’t happen.
«What frustrates me is that many of my Ukrainian friends don’t understand where I stand – and neither do many of my conservative friends. I’ve wanted this war to end from the very beginning. I’ve called for a ceasefire right away, because I see Ukraine caught in a terrible position – wedged between Russian imperial chauvinism and a dark, almost mythical ideology. If you look up Alexander Dugin, you’ll find this worldview – he calls it a “dark mythos” or “dark logos.” It’s an ideology rooted not in liberation but in domination, seeking to subjugate Ukraine entirely, crushing its sovereignty,» – says Jason Jones.
At the same time, Ukraine faces cold, calculating pragmatism from NATO, particularly the U.S. and Germany. In the words of General Milley, their strategy is to “bleed Russia” – even if it means Ukraine itself bleeds out in the process. The longer the war lasts, the better, so long as Russia weakens.
And on top of that, Western NGOs bring with them a different form of domination – ideological colonialism. They push agendas with rainbow flags and abortion policies, and they even pressure Ukraine to export fetal tissue to Germany for research. It’s another kind of exploitation, masked in the language of progress.
«My frustration is deep. Many of my conservative friends have swallowed Russian propaganda wholesale – not about NATO or the West, but about the Ukrainian people themselves. They’ve bought into lies about good, Christian farmers and families in Ukraine, painting them as villains. Meanwhile, the Western left keeps encouraging Ukraine to fight endlessly – while also pushing it to surrender its culture and identity to a version of Western liberalism that’s increasingly detached from reality,» – says Valentyna Pavsyukova.
Russian atrocities in Bucha. Is it real? Valentyna Pavsyukova responses
According to the statement, while investigations are ongoing, current knowledge indicates a severe situation confirmed by a declaration and visits from numerous EU Parliament members. Over 9,000 military criminal incidents have been recorded, with more than 637 resultant deaths, 37 of whom were children in Bucha, says Valentyna.
Horrific discoveries, including mass graves possibly containing victims buried alive, continue to be made. The statement emphasizes that these crimes should not be forgotten and identifies them as part of Russia’s failed attempt at a rapid takeover of Ukraine. It highlights that the invasion force entered via the Belarusian border – significantly closer (approx. 47 miles to Bucha/Irpin, NW of Kyiv) than the Russian border – and passed through Chernobyl, committing severe crimes during their infiltration attempt.
The statement concludes by asserting that responsibility lies not only with the Russian military leadership but also with individual soldiers who perpetrated specific crimes and possess identifiable names.
Conclusion
Russians pour billions of dollars annually into propaganda against Ukraine. They influence the opinions of Republicans, other world politicians, and ordinary citizens alike. Through this influence, they attempt to justify their invasion of Ukraine and portray Ukrainians as responsible for the war.
